 Re: New member introductions
Hi, my name is Rob I've been mountain biking for a long time and started filming and making movies about a year ago. A couple of weeks ago I decided that I wanted to make a cable cam, so after waiting for payday I went to home depot and walked around with an open mind looking for stuff that I could use to build one, I also spent some time as a guest on this web site looking for ideas. My rig took me about 4 days to build, its gravity driven (for now). I'm really happy with how it turned out, I'll post my results in the video section

Hi Rob and Pasi!
Welcome!
@Pasi - CableCam nothing... those heli-rigs are very impressive! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you can come up with!
@Rob - Glad this site helped in your cablecam build and we look forward to checking it out! Just curious.. what did you end up using for your wheels/pulleys?

 Re: New member introductions
@DPC: I did a lot of searching online for ideas (and theres not a lot out there), but this site helped a bunch with the direction my design took. I also checked out your site, I really like your shots of the wake boarder. As for the wheels I sandwiched two rollerblade wheels together for each pulley and I put washers in between them to size it for my rope. The rest of it was built with square aluminum tube and flat aluminum stock from the big box store. I'll try and post some picks soon.
